We love the Christmas holidays – a time to slow down, relax and spend some quality time together as a family. We also LOVE crafts, but easy ones, and preferably not ones that involve 5 tubes of gets-everywhere glitter! So we have put together 5 fun festive crafts to enjoy with your little people.
If you find yourself at a loose end in-between wintery walks and cosy Christmas film afternoons, then why not give these five fun festive crafts a go with your little cubs? Cute Christmas keep-sakes to remind you of Christmas 2020 … a year we will all never forget!
- Christmas Tractor
Tractor mad kids will LOVE this festive tractor craft by Glued to my Crafts. We think it’s the perfect pairing with our Farmer Christmas books – available here and the cutest thing you’ll read this Christmas, if you haven’t already! You can check out the full instructions for this fabulous tractor inspired craft here.
2. Christmas Sheep Ornaments
The perfect craft for little sheep fans, and we think these will look pretty cute on the tree for many years to come! Check out the fabulous Happy Hooligans for full crafting instructions – and we’ve found a use for your cinnamon sticks once they’ve finished infusing your mulled wine!
3. Festive Fox
How cute are these? And honestly the simplest craft to make with pre-schoolers. We used orange card instead of foam, as we couldn’t face a trip to Home Bargains in the rain. It worked just as well and is now hanging on our tree. Bertie Fox is very proud! Check out the full instructions from Glued to my Crafts here.
4. Christmas Tree Fingerprint Craft
My sister made this cute craft with her 3 year old and 5 year old. She had to take a work call half way through and came back 5 minutes later to a splurge of brown smears across the paper, (and with the kitchen half covered in paint!). So word of warning, they are so effective and fun to make but left alone, your #littlecub will be sure to mix all the paints and paint everything murky brown! You can check out the full craft here from A Dab of Glue will Do.
5) Paper Plate Baubles
These festive baubles from Arty Crafty Kids are great fun to make, and are sure to be treasured keepsakes for years to come. Our 18 month old #littlecub loves activities that involve sticking with glue, so a great craft for both toddlers and pre-schoolers to get involved in.
We hope you have great fun with these Christmas crafts and they bring you many happy memories in years to come. We’d love it if you tag us in your pictures on our social media, @cotswoldbabyco.
Wishing you a happy and safe Christmas,
Kate and Rachael xx
